Ode to Storms

I strive to capture the power and beauty of nature at its best, even in the midst of a storm. I believe that even in the most chaotic and turbulent moments, there is a moment of stillness and serenity that can be captured by the camera. This is why I seek to showcase the majesty of nature and its ability to evoke a sense of awe and wonder in us.

Through this process, I seek to create a visual narrative that captures the power and benevolence of nature, and the emotional journey that we can experience in its presence. I hope that my images inspire a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, and that they encourage viewers to seek out these moments of beauty and serenity for themselves.

Strom at La Perouse

My interpretation of escaping something turbulent into calm waters.

Resting and Admiring

This photograph was taken in Milford Sound, New Zealand. I just saw the little bird admiring the storm and I realised that I was just doing the same.

Reclaimed

Storms to me are so powerful and mesmerising this is my homage to them. The photo was taken in Glenorchy, New Zealand.

On the Way to the Sound

Traces a quiet approach toward an unseen force. The image captures the charged stillness that exists before the storm fully reveals itself — where light softens, movement slows, and anticipation lingers in the air.

Little Castle

The image speaks to isolation, endurance, and the fragile boundary between shelter and exposure. Within Ode to Storms, it becomes a symbol of stillness under pressure — small, resolute, and surrounded by forces beyond its control.
